Summer Hu

Summer Hu, Editor-in-Chief

Summer is a senior and Editor-in-Chief of The Tower. This is her fourth year on the staff and third on the editorial team, previously serving as a story and copy editor, online editor, and Lead Content Editor. She is dedicated to fueling investigative spirit in the newsroom, as well as a focus on campus-centric coverage. Summer, alongside Ben Brown, is also a founder and producer for The Tower’s The Two-Knights Show (TKS). Additionally, she established The Tower’s beat system to diversify newsroom coverage. Her favorite articles to write are profiles on people and the community, stories that directly impact the community, and, of course, the occasional investigative scoop. When she’s not investigating a new scoop, Summer enjoys writing poetry and prose, reading about politics, playing basketball on the Girls’ Varsity Team, and scouting boba places around San Diego. Summer’s work also appears in The Teen Magazine.
