Letter Guidelines
The Tower encourages letter submissions to the Editor-in-Chief on all topics pertinent to the Bishop’s community. Letters should not exceed 800 words and must be signed with contact information so that authorship can be verified before publication. The Tower will not accept anonymous letters. Letters will not be published if they are unfit — such situations include letters that are obscene or that violate the privacy of Bishop’s community members. Letters will be shared with the Director of Counseling if The Tower is concerned about their content regarding student safety. Before publication, all letters are subject to editing for clarity and length with care not to alter the message of the letter. If The Tower receives multiple letters on the same subject, it will publish a representative sample.
Letters should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief at [email protected] with the subject line “Attn: Letter to the Editor.”
The Tower welcomes comments on articles published online. Comments are approved by the Editorial Board before publication. Comments may be omitted in order to maintain a respectful environment for discussion. Profanity, violation of privacy, spam and unsolicited advertisements are examples of grounds for omission. The Tower does not approve anonymous comments.
