Guest Contributors
The Tower welcomes contributions that align with our mission and standards. Submission topics may span the categories of Campus, Arts, Sports, Culture, Local & Beyond, and Opinion, but all content should ultimately be tailored towards our school community.
We ask that articles submitted to The Tower include the author’s name and graduation year along with their submission. They also must have drafts of a headline, a subheading, at least two photos, respective captions and credits to those photos, and a pullquote (if applicable). Articles must be under 1,200 words if they are to be considered for the printed magazine. We ask that all the information above be organized in a neat fashion, all in the same Google Doc, and that this document be shared to the Editors-in-Chief and Tower advisor with editor privileges.
Accepted guest articles go through The Tower’s full editorial process, including detailed feedback and revision. As a key step in the publication process, Editors will read and suggest edits to each article, and the writer will have a chance to consider and make the suggested revisions. Depending on the article, edits may be more or less extensive.
The Tower is not required to accept guest articles, and if accepted, guest articles are not guaranteed to be published in our print magazines.
