October 27, 2019: Knights Crush Lancers 53-13
Last Friday, Bishop’s students came out for the School’s annual athletics celebration, Bish Bowl, culminating in a football game against Francis Parker School.
After a barbecue, field hockey game, and volleyball match, the school stampeded through the streets of La Jolla to attend the big game at La Jolla High School. Although most students paid closer attention to the snacks and the mascot race at halftime– when Dhruvi Banerjee (’21) edged out a win over Maddie Cramer (‘22)– the Knights made quick work of Francis Parker with a 53-13 win.
While on most Fridays the campus tends to be devoid of life after 3:30 p.m., on the day of Bish Bowl, once a year, students cancel their Netflix plans to come out and support the football team.
